Visa revalidation - Chennai or Mexico?

This is the 3rd time I need to get H!B extension stamped. previous two time I have got it done in chennai.

I have a need to go to india but don't feel like going yet again to the consulate.

Just wanted opinions on whether it is still advisible to go to India? (chennai)

also with regard to PIMS verification, I called up a US consulate in mexico and they were able to valiate that my petition is present in PIMS.
