Visiting Canada on H1B VISA??

I have received my Canadian permanent residency papers and will have to land in Canada this month. I am currently working in the US with an H1B visa.This is my 4rth year in the US and had my work VISA renewed here, as a result of which I donot have a stamp for my renewed VISA in my passport. But I do have my renewal papers. I wish to return to the US from Canada in a couple of days. Will I have any trouble returning here without the stamp.
I know this is a long one but would appreciate your advice.
