H4 stmping after H1 approval

Hi,

I am on H1 and getting married in August 08. My fiancee has applied for a H1 visa this year? If she gets a H1 approval, can she go for H4 stamping after the marriage? What happens to the H1 approval? Will it be cancelled?
Can she come here on H4 and get the H1 stamping done in Canada?

Please help and clarify.

Why not get both stamped in home country; she can enter on H4 before her authorized start date and either apply for COS or leave the country and reenter using the H1B documents which will get her the I-94 permitting her to work.
