Hi,
I am a pakistani national and came to US on F-1 visa to pursue graduate studies. I got a job last year after graduation and got my H-1 petition approved in Jnauary 2002. I have to get my passport stamped with the new H-1 visa and needed answers of the following questions. If there is someone out there with some information/experience, I would really appreciate if you could share your thoughts.
1) Is the US embassy in Canada/Mexico issuing H-1 visas for nationals of muslim countries or to be specific, pakistani nationals?
2) If anyone has gone to Pakistan to get the visa, can you tell me how long did the process take. Is there any way that process can be expedited?
