We need more help-seekers to come here and ask questions than go to those boards that keep them waiting for hours before they get answers. This does not mean that I like when people are in trouble.

Got a trick to pull them off the other popular forums?

          Just kidding !

May be some advertising on the main page would help? The forum can be good and popular as the number of members increase and people are willing to help.

More number of visitors, the merrier it gets

Thanks for bringing that to my attention. I did not know that scoring a 100 provided additional respect here :-) I will let you take the strike from now on and help you score the century

This fourm is so quiet and it's a good thing in a way. I mean more people may bring some rumors and chaos. E.g I just saw on some forum, someone posted that USCIS received exactly 357,976 H1 applications in general cap and source was his friend who works at USCIS. Ha Ha Ha

I am almost there as far as you know what...

Saw the post. What a loser is he and his friend that claims to have counted the applications when USCIS is accepting filings from California and other service centers. His friend must be really busy on charter flights being run for counting the applications sponsored by the government for him between various service centers.

I-94 got corrected at SALT LAKE CITY Deffered Inspection Site

This thread helped me to understand the process for I-94 correction. I have some update on this and thought of sharing with you.

I had similar problem like the one mentioned in this thread. I-94 forms that I filled for mine and my wife's got stapled wrong by POE officer and stamped wrong VISA types. If you see my passport's I94, it shows my wife name but H1 and if you see my wife's passport, it shows my name and H4.

I went to Salt Lake City airport's International Arriaval section. I couldnt find Defferred Inspection Site (the address they mentioned in CBP site is pointing to me a vacant location). So, I went to CBP block, the door was closed and but actually not locked (I tried opening and it opened). To my surprise, no one was visible in the office and all seats chairs were empty. I guessed the officers will be in Interview section. Simply I said "execuse me", then two officers came from two different rooms, I asked them that I am looking Deffered Inspection site. One lady responded, that is her department. I explained my case to her. She initially thought I entered wrongly but she realized that is POE officer mistake. She took just passports along with stapled I-94 and corrected both of them with same old date of entry and same valid exit dates as it was in old I94.

I got it corrected for my wife and myself. She didnt ask my wife to be appeared in person there for that. All it took 10 mins there to complete. She told that CBP database will be updated overnight but the records to reflect in SAVE (the database which is shared with Driving Licence, SSN etc) will take 8 to 10 weeks usually. But I heard sometimes it takes 2 to 3 weeks from other threads.

Thats all, it was so simple. I didnt know why Sathya travelled all the way to Mexico border to get it corrected. However, there might be advancement in technology or process as the thread looks almost 4.5 years old.
