Unique H1 Transfer Question

Hi

I'm on F1 visa and working with Company A on OPT. They have applied for H1B this year for general quota.

Now, I have received an offer from a well known MNC (Company B) and I would like to join them on OPT from May beginning.

Assuming my H1B from Company A is approved, can I transfer it to Company B even before it becomes valid in October 08.

If so what kind of documentation do I need from Company A in order to successfully transfer my H1B.

Yes it's possible to transfer the *approved* H1 before Oct 1st. You will need a copy of the H1 approval notice or the receipt number. This can only be done after your H1 with current company is approved.
