FedEx lost my H1B package

Dear Sir/Madam,

I did my Masters in USA, my petition was filed under US Masters Cap. My employer send the package to USCIS on 31st March 2008 but FEDEX seems to be lost that package, FEDEX doesn't have any delivery confirmation record. My employer is bit hesitant to file second petition for me due to recent publication by USCIS about multiple fillings.Please advice me what are the options I have now.

If FedEx has already lost it, there is no harm in sending new one. Ask
FedEx to cancel the delivery of the first one.

Fedex had service disruptions early this week. If the package is still lost, I would file again showing confirmation of the package mailed on 3/31 and the online printout showing the package lost/not delivered as proof to USCIS that it is not being done purposefully as a multiple filing.

Attorney should be able to handle any RFE with the proof mentioned above.

On the other hand, did the employer really file the H1b or is he the shady kind?
