H1B Extension

Friends.

My H1B of 3 years would be expiring soon. My I140 has been approved in Jan 2008 and EAD was approved in Dec 2007. I am still working on my H1B and has not used EAD so far. I am not clear whether I should be filing for extension of H1B and if yes, should I visit India or Canada or Mexico for renewal. Every response is welcome.

If you want to use and maintain H1, you should apply for an extension. You can go for stamping in Canada/Mexico for sure if your education is from the U.S.

I am not sure the advantages of continuing H1 or EAD. All my qualifications are from India. Is there a need for me to visit India if I wish to renew H1.
