Hi,
My son got his doctorate degree late last year and has applied for the H-1B through the company he is working for. However, considering much larger number of applications received this year in relation to the H1B cap (20,000 for the highly qualified and 65,000 for the general category) the chances of he getting the visa are not very high. In case he fails to get the H-1B what other options has he got to continue working for his employer? What is O-1 visa and will he qualify for the same?
Regards
