Immunization and Insurance Query

Hi All,

I am planning to leave for USA on 13th June, 2008 on a H1 visa.

Kindly let me know in case if I need to take any vaccinations (MMR...) before leaving for USA. If yes, also suggest me some places to get this done. I stay in Hyderabad.

My second request is to kindly suggest a good insurance policy.

1. Vaccinations are not needed for entry to US but needed for the green card last stage.

2. Your employer should have a group policy that you should be able to get. Otherwise, there is a vast area of selection under individual plans depending on deductibles, max out of pocket, copayment etc.

Some of the popular ones are BCBS, Aetna, UHC, Kaiser, Cigna.
