Need help please ! H1B stamping at Chennai India

I changed job recently and got new h1b visa (having I94 and visa papers). I need to travel to India soon and I was told that I need to get new H1B stamping passport at India.

Any one having recent H1B stamping experience at chennai US counsalate? Any idea how long it will take to get stamping? I need to plan my vacation based on the process days. Appreciate any feed back.

If your H1 stamp is not going to expire before you enter USA, you don't need new stamp.
