Responsibilities of an H1B visa

Dear Immihelp,

I am the director of a physics and *****nomy program that teaches hands-on science to children. I am currently hiring for my fall season and beyond and for the first time I am interested in hiring a man that is interested in obtaining his work Visa. He is interested in Obtaining an H1B visa. He is finishing a masters degree in *****physics, so he is right up our alley for applicants. I know that as a company, we need to sponsor this individual.

Can you tell me what responsibilities we have, as a company, if we choose to sponsor him? Also, can you let me know if there are possibilities that we would get denied for this and what the likelihood of that is?

I am also interested in finding out what the process of this is, what are the time tables, and what would need to be done to get this finalized.
