  • H1b transfer

I have a H1b from one company right now in my passport but i have never travelled nor worked for them.

I do not want to travel for a while now due to personal reasons. Can i have the h1b transferred to my current company in india so that it can be used later.?

Yes, That can be done. Refer to the H1b FAQs and other similar threads.

It can be done when they are ready to send you to US instead of now to get a longer duration of validity.

      Thanks for the reply...

just to clarify... I have h1b from company A.Now i would ask Company B (my current company) to get the visa transferred without even working for comapny A nor having travelled on the H1b visa.

are you saying it's possible? If so what needs to be done.. to start with? any idea. Thanks again

There is nothing special to be done. They just have to fill out a normal H1b application and provide proof that you were cap counted in the past.

Every H1b is a new application to USCIS. Only difference is the alien showing proof of cap count in the past.
