Hi:
I received my Master degree in December 2000. I accepted an offer from a company. Then, the company had a layoff around March 2001. My hiring manager was among the laid. Then, at June 2001, I had a second interview with the new manager of the same group and obtained approval of the first offer. Then, my company told me they filed for H1 visa around September 2001. Then, the company had another layoff around December 2001. I have not received my H1 visa yet. I am not sure if the lawyer is delaying the application. What should I do? What are my alternatives? Should I switch to visitor visa? In that case, can I look for another job? In this job market, I am not so hopeful to find a new job that will sponsor.
Thanks
