H4 moved to H1 without pay in H1 - What visa to extend now?

Hi,

1. I work for Company A in H1.

2. My wife entered US in H4 as a dependent.

3. Another company B sponsored her a H1.

4. Company B never paid my wife, as she was on bench all the time. She does not even have a SSN. She has not got her H1 visa stamped on her passport, as she never went out from US.

5. Now it is time to extend my H1.

6. Should I extend the H4 of wife also or should not, as she has a H1 valid for the next 3 years?

Get her H4 extended. H1 without pay/work is not valid.
