Hi,
I got laid off and getting a new job, but I am not sure if I have to change my current status to H4 or can extend my H1B with another 3 years. Following is my current status:
1. I-140 approved more than 6 months with previous company.
2. 7th year of my H1B.
3. Received I-485 receipt 8 months ago, my wife is the principle applicant due to her earlier priority date.
4. Received EAD card 8 months ago, my wife is the principle applicant due to her earlier priority date.
5. Got AP 8 months and used once.
