H1B extension delay

Hello,

My H1B expired July 13th 2001 and my extension that was filed 4 months back has still not come through. I am working for the same employer and I am still in US. How does this affect my status? Would it have any effect on my GC processing that is currently on?

Hi,

it looks like we are in the same boat. My husband's H1B is expiring on 15th Sept 2001 and our extension has not come through. Our GC is in the AOS stage.But I read somewhere that you can stay on in the US based on the extension petition receipt for 240 days after your H1B expires.
Do you have any more info on that?
