H4 Expired in India, No extension filed

Hi,

H4 for my spouse is expired, I was unable to file for extension. Now my spouse is in India, my H1 is extended, what is the best way to get my spouse's H4 stamped?

Appreciate your help, this is an urgent matter, any advice is helpful

Send her for an H4 interview if the H4 visa on her passport has expired. An extension can only be filed when she in the U.S. Since she is in India, entering with a valid H4 visa and a copy of your extension approval I-797 is the way to go. She will get an I-94 matching your latest I-94 that is attached to your extension approval at the POE.
