H1 B expired / Travel to India / H1 B extension

My H1-B visa (I-94) has expired and filed an extension at VSC on Nov 20th 2000. Is it advisable to leave this country (US) while my H1-B under processing? Please advice me on any consequences (like rejecting approvals etc.,) that I might encounter in INDIA and US? Thank you.

I am also experiencing the same case. Did you get the H1 renewed now. Could you tell me how long it took tp renew your H1 at Vermont SC. It would be really helpful.
I filed in January and need to travel to India. But no idead when will I get the visa renewed.
