L1 to H1

I have an L1 visa valid till 2010 April. I applied for H1 this year and it was approved.

Question: Will my status automatically change to H1 from this October? Or will my L1 still be valid after October.

Please let me know.

Yes, it will, if the H1b approval was a COS. Search for leapfrog on the forum.
