    H1B transfer

    I would really appreciate if you could help me.
    I just got the approval for COS to H1B from F1. How long can i NOT work for this company without being out of status?
    There is a company who is ready to hire me, and i would like to work for, can this company apply for a transfer of H1 even if i have not worked on the first H1?
    What is the best and fastest way i can start work for the new company?
