Hi,
I came to U.S. in Jan '99 on H1 visa valid till Nov 2000 thru company 'A'.
I got my H1 transfer approved in Apr '00 thru company 'B' which is valid until Dec 2002. But I continued to work for 'A' and joined 'B' only in
Sep '00.
In b/w I travelled to India in Jun '00. While returning, at the port of entry I showed the INS officer the approval notice from A (reason being I was still working with 'A' and hadn't joined 'B' by then). So my I-94 was stamped with a valid date till Nov '00.
My question is will this I-94 that I got at port of entry takes precedence over my I-94 that came along with extension from 'B' (now I'm working for 'B')
which is valid till Dec 2002. If so what should I do to get this corrected.
Your help is appreciated.
