My H1B visa transfer under process, Can I leave US

Hi,

My visa transfer from A to B is under process. Is it ok to leave the US? One of my friends told me that we shouldn’t leave the country, when your visa transfer is under process. Because your I-94 in the file is different than the new I-94(You will new I-94 at the time reentry).

My question is:
Is that true?
Can leave and come back before approval of visa transfer.
If I leave the country. Can I reenter in to US with old visa?

---- Yes, you are considered to have abandoned the transfer if you travel overseas

Can leave and come back before approval of visa transfer.

---- No, as above

If I leave the country. Can I reenter in to US with old visa?

---- Yes, after the transfer is complete while you are in USA
