good consulting companies?

Can anyone tell me how the consulting agencies work? I'm currently on OPT and want to find out more about the consulting firms and how they help you process the H1b visa.

The small mom and pop type work on blood and sweat of it's employees. Avoid them like plague if they are owned by South Asians as most of them do not follow the laws.

You are better if you can find a FT position in a reputed company or good consulting companies that are publicly owned.
