I just received my first H1B visa stamped on the passport.
Although all my documents stated that my job would last for three years, the visa itself was issued for two. Is that common?
On the visa stamp, however, there`s an entry saying "PED" which is valid for the whole three years. What does that mean? And how does it relate to the visa expiration date (if it does at all)?
Also - and in a somewhat unrelated question - aside from the passport with the stamp, what other documents will I need to show at customs when entering the U.S.?
As a student (F-1), I used to show my I-20, but I`m not sure now as a H1B'er...
Thanks!
