Travel to India before visa expires

Hi all,

Visa expires on 30th sep 2008.I got the approval for the extension.
My question is
1.Can I travel India and return back before Sept 30th with extension approval paper?
2.Before how many days I have to return back

1. Yes
2. 11:59 p.m the day of expiry of visa.
