H1 employer papers

Before joining any consultant who has filed H1 for an employee, I have heard they make employees sign contract papers.

If any employee asks them to give the copy of the papers or give fax the papers so that the employee can get it verified from some attorney to understand the clauses , the employers do not do so. They make the person sign right there.

What should one do in this case ?

Simple, don't sign ...

... you can ask for a copy of the documents to take with you which you will read properly and THEN sign and send over to your company.

If you company refuses, you can either file a complaint against them &/or get another employer.
