I was on OPT. I now on H1B. Is it necessary to get H1B stamped for travel out of US?

Hi,
I was on OPT until Sep 2007. I got my H1B from Oct 2007. Now I want to go visit Lima, Peru for tourist purposes. Do I have to get my H1 B stamped? Can I reenter US without the stamping? I doubt if I can get the visa stamped in Lima, Peru...

How can you enter US without a visa? You need a stamp to return. If not from Peru, some other country or your home country.
