H1 Transfer during H1 Extension Pending

Hi,

Seniors please help.

I am working for X company from last 3 years my current H1 is expiring on Aug 14 th and my company filed the H1 Extension 2 months back but still it is pending. If I get the offer from Y company after aug 14 (if still h1 extension is pending) can I transfer the H1 to Company Y using H1 Extension pending receipt?
