I94-correction by pen

My family on H4 visa travelled to US recently and the POE officer wrongly wrote the I94 expiry date as my earlier I797 expiry date instead of my current I797 (new employer) petition date. On immediately pointing out the officer instantly corrected with Pen and put the correct and later petition date.

Is this okay or we need to go to CBP to confirm what the officer has entered in the system?

Should be fine. If you happen to go to the airport, no harm in checking.
