H1B Stamping first time

Hi Everyone,

This is my case. I came to US in July 2005 on F2 (student dependent) and then changed my status to H4 on Feb 14, 2006 as my husband started to work on H1B. Then we applied for my H1B in 2007 april and got it approved to start work from oct07.

I was searching for job and finally i started to work from Dec. 2007. Now i need to go india in dec. 2008. and so i need to go for H1B stamping. But i have heard that these days in mumbai consulate, anyone may get 221(g) if having bad time. and it may take 3-6 months to resolve it so i am scared.

Can anyone give me advise? I was never out of status and also no muslim name.

You were out of status from OCT07 to DEC07.
Its not the bad time that gets 221(g), but its violations and doubt of the VO that there was one, or if the company or candidate credentials are doubtful.
