L1 - H1 (COS) - Dont want to move

Question:

Right now i have im working on L1 and a desi consultant has applied H1(wiht COS) and H1 is approved. I never wanted to move to new employer on Oct 1st2008. So is there any way i can keep my L1 and H1 good means i can continue on L1 as long as its valid and then move on H1? Option i have heard thru internet

1. Go out of country(cananda?) on sep 28th and come back on oct 2nd with new I94.
2. Ask new employer to apply for ammendment ( conusular notification? )

Can anyone please suggest?

Why did you waste a H1B visa if you did not plan to work for the employer?

Eventually i will move on Feb'09, My desi consultant never told me that he is applying H1 with COS.. Can you suggest whats the best way to keep L1?

Read the forum. Immihelp had to do performance testing on their servers probably due to this topic being posted numerous times.
