Procedure after I797B receival

Hi,

Am in USA right now , on B1 Visa ( applied for extension - no status yet from USCIS ) , got through H1b and its associated I797B. Its validity stars from 10.10.2008 ... when i check for a scheduled interview dates on the consulate site.. there are GREEN - valid dates only for 3 dates in september and the rest of the months are all blank.

--- Why is that ... is dat mean there are no available dates.. -- please clarify ..

and the second.. whats the procedure to be followed from here i mean after i recieved I797B ... please suggest..

Yes, currently only those dates are available.
You can apply for a change of status using form I-539.

B1 COS approval to H1 is difficult. You should book an appointment and attend the interview for the visa. There is a chance that you will be directed to your home country.
