H1 Dependent visa

Hi

I need your suggestion on the following.

My H1 got approved in lottery thru my company. I work in Bangalore. I am married and we are expecting a kid by Nov 2008. I got a mail from my company to submit documents for appearing for visa interview in chennai. We wanted to have delivery here at our native.

Please suggest me how to proceed for visa interview on

1. Appear for interview after delivery with infant and spouse
2. Attend Interview for self now and i can go to US in Dec 2008 and take the family later.....

Please advice

Option 2 sounds better. Flying in excess of 20 hrs for a newborn doesnt sound right.
