Husband and Wife are both on H1, Already Filed for I-485, Wife Wants EAD
Hello,
I have married friends and both are on H1 with the same company. Wife's Green Card application is under the husband's (just waiting for number since I-485 is already field) and wife does not want to work anymore for the same company but wants to work for another. H1B is nearing expiry on October 1, 2008. Questions are:
1. Does she need signature from her employer if she will file for EAD?
2. Will she automatically be on H4 when her H1 expires or does she need a lawyer to transfer from H1 to H4?
