Two COS issue - H1b and H4

I'm currently doing my OPT on F1 status and have an approved H1b (Masters quota) this year. My wife came here with F2 and she applied for H1b in general quota. Along with my H1b application, we applied for her (COS) Change of Status to H4. Last week she got her H1b approval notice. Now, she has two COS effective Oct 1, 2008 --

1. F2 to H4
2. F2 to H1b

Is this a problem and do I need to anything? I'm hoping H1b COS takes preference. If not, do I request for cancellation of H4 COS applcation immediately.

Such competing COS requests are a problem. You do not get to choose the status. Go to a local USCIS office and ask them what your status is. To be sure, a travel and entry on the right status she wants to maintain would be a safe bet.
