Hello,

my wife attended an interview last week at new delhi consulate and they told her that she was all set and she would be receiving the passport in 5 business days and today she received an e-mail with the below information:

In order to process your nonimmigrant visa application further, please be advised to submit your CV, list of publication, invitation letter and a completed printed questionnaire:

can any of you tell me whether she needs a clearence from department of state also how long does it take to get a clearence , she works in bio-medical department as a research assistant.

I think she has fallen in the TAL and needs clearance from DoS. Will take a unspecified amount of time. Usually anywhere between 2-6 months.

at the time of interview the VO took the I-797 and Passport, does this mean any good signs of having the visa issued?
