Anybody went to tijuana without Mexican Visa??

I have an appointment on Oct 21st in tijuana for my H1 extension stamping. I am trying to get a mexican visa from Las vegas mexican consulate. but they are telling me that it might take 4-5 weeks to issue one. I am not sure if I will get the visa before 21st. Can I still go ahead with my travel arrangements without mexican visa. I am in touch with San Diego Leisure and they tell me that its not mandatory and I can travel!!

Visa or permit is not needed. Just skip it and walk across the border. Been there, done that. Even Mexican consulate in the bay area told me to not waste my time in trying to get the visa if I am not going past 20 kms from the border.

It is good to have if you are worried what happens if the visa gets rejected. I wasn't worried about that part.

Thanks a lot for clearing it up, I am not worried about my VISA getting rejected. I am just worried if we can travel or not.

I am not able to take appointment at Tijuana

Hi,
am trying to get a visa appointment at Tijuana US embassy in Mexico. I paid 8 $ and got a PIN. I am trying to get a online appointment date but saw that no appointment date is available till December 2008. In the calender it is written " not available (red stars)and some days as "not opened (grey stars)". Will they open the "not opened" dates lately for visa appointments? It looks bit strange as I am unable to get an appoinment in coming 3 months. Can any one help? I have been trying this from last 4 days same thing

You can try that, But I doubt it will help....

I have tried the phone service. They said their availability list is the same as what we see online..Keep looking for dates online, especially on Fridays n Mondays.

I have been trying for more than a week now with no success I am checking 10-15 times a day .

Do anybody have tips regarding any particular time of the day that I should be looking when they update the website.
