I am going to file for a transfer from H1 to H4 in next few days. I would like to know if I can travel to India even before I get the receipt of my transfer application. In case I need to have a receipt of transfer application before I travel, is it possible to have my H4 stamped from India on my way back, say after one month? Is there any particular amount of time that I need to allow before I can have my H4 stamped on my way back?
