Visa interview

I am currently on H1B, planning to visit India.
I understand that when I leave i will have to sumbit all my I94 on departure,including my current H1B I94.
My question

I will have to tear a portion of I797 to deposit my I94 on departure, so when I submit my application for Visa stamping, will it be without the lower portion of I797. ( what i mean is that the original upper portion of I 797 is what is needed for the interview)

Hi,

If you read the petition -I797A - It says clearly...that you have to give LOWER RIGHT HALF whiile going back.

And for Visa Interview - you should have UPPER HALF and LOWER LEFT HALF (which is for your records).

DON'T GIVE THE COMPLETE LOWER HALF.
