Issue: Incorrect I94 and H4

Hi,

I am in India and planning to get H4 stamped in two weeks.

My husband H1 expired last week and they have applied for H1 extension last month.

His I94 number on the H1 extension is different from previous one. His employer called USCIS and they have taken the details and sent a mail mentioned that he will be hearing in 60 days. The only proof I have is the email from USCIS that they are looking in to the issue.

Will they validate my husband's status before issuing H4 visa ?

Do I need to mention to the visa consulate officer about the issue with my husband's I-94?

What are the chances of my H4 visa stamped?

Any other suggestions ?

I-94 # is the whole basis for one's status in the US and it's verification. In the event that PIMS verification does not go through, you may be stranded overseas till the correction goes through.

You should wait for H4 stamping or could take the risk and go. It could work both ways.
