Visa Rejection chances

Hi,

I have to appear for an H1b Visa stamping @ chennai consulate ASAP. But some of my friends told me that this is not the right time to appear for the Visa interview since they are rejecting most of the cases because of the current financial problems in US. Is it true?

I recently attended interview for H1b renewal @ chennai consulate. It was straight forward and infact for renewals it was fast. For new H1's they are asking lot of questions. It took 30mins @ consulate including waiting time in queue. All the best.
