How to cancel dependents L2 to H4 transfer?

I am on L1 and applied for H1B (April 2008) through a consultant and it got approved(Apr 2008). To retain my L1 status I flew to India along with my family (wife and daughter) in Sept and came back to US on Oct 5th and now I am back on L1.

In September I gave my wife and daughter passport details for their L2 to H4 transfer and the consultant applied for the status change.

Do I need to do anything to cancel dependent status change or the status change automatically get canceled due to their re-entry into US on L2 after Oct 1st.

Yes, the last action was entry into US and that status prevails.
