Hi, I have a valid H1B visa till july 2009. Now I have got my new I-797 approved extended till june 2011. I want to go to Canada in January 2009 and want to restamp my new H1B visa which will be valid till june 2011 (my extended I-797). My question is, can I go and get an H1B visa renewal stamp from Canada before the expiry of previous H1B visa which is still valid till july 2009 stamped from Canada? What If am denied this time, and since I already have a vlid visa till july 2009, can I still come back to the US on my current stamped visa. I would really appreciate the kind response. Thanks.

Yes, you can go if couple of months are left for the visa. If denied, the VO may leave the older visa as is letting you return or if the visa is canceled before the interview, you may have to go to home country.
