H1 Visa Appointment with Old passport

I took HDFC receipt for fixing visa interview with chennai consulate. Meanwhile i had to get my name corrected in the passport and consequently I received a new passport with new number.

Now my question is can I go ahead and fix appointment specifying my old passport number and using HDFC receipt taken with my old passport number? and for interview bring both the passport together.

Will there be any issues? Can anyone please share similar experience?

No issues. Ensure both are banded together in some fashion as the bar code issued by VFS goes on the old passport and # and you might have problems getting the passport back.
