Status after H1 cancellation

Hi just got my change of status from H4 to H1. I have not started working for the company If I opt out of H1 what will happen to my H4 status. Will it get voided if my company cancels the H1.

A revoke of H1b does NOT EVER EVER put you back on your previously held status automatically. All status changes are handled by USCIS.

In short, you will become illegal and not fall back on H4.

If you are not working on H1b, you are out of status as well.
