how many jobs can i do on H1B

hi ,
i got my h1 approval letter in september 2008, but i haven,t been able to start working with my employer who sponsered h1b for me because of slow season.
My question is, can i work with another employer for about 3 to 4 months.

NO. You may only work for your H1B sponsor.

There is no such thing as a "slow season" to you. Your employer is obligated by law to pay you even if he cannot place you on an active project. You are out of status by not working. Read the archive messages on this forum to understand the problems you are getting yourself into.
