Hello folks,
I am traveling to India soon. While I am there, I will be going to the Chennai consulate to get my H1-B visa stamped. I have my EAD and AP in hand, but following all the suggestions here, I am going to maintain my H1 status. Now, under the hypothetical scenario, if I am issued a 221g for additional documentation etc., can I come back on my AP? Would the Immigration Officer at the Port of Entry know that I have filed for a H1 stamp and abandoned it? Or, once I face the Visa Officer in the consulate, there's no turning back? Anybody has experience/opinion/advice in this matter?
