Can H1B renewal stamping be done in any consulate in India?

Hi all,

I am going to India on Dec 6th and returning on Jan 6th. The current H1B term expires on Dec 27th and the renewal has been approved. Can H1B renewal stamping be done in any consulate in India regardless of where in India I am from? I am from the north east but when I look for appointments in the Kolkata consulate, the vfs website only shows me dates for New Delhi .

Yes, you can if it is a renewal.
