H1-B Visa transfer

Dear sir,

I have a clarification that is i had H1-B from year 2001-2003 for an Consultant Company based at Texas....I have all the immigration papers,LCA(I-797),I 129 etc.

I heard that i need not make a fresh H1-b filing with INS process for this year,instead just H1-B transfer is enough with the existing LCA(I 797)copy.It that true?

As more than 1 year has elapsed, you must get fresh H-1B.
